I created 16 HANDS LLC Integrated Equine Bodywork with the intension of offering a holistic approach to pain-free performance. The primary technique I utilize, The Masterson Method™, is a unique method of equine bodywork that allows the release of accumulated structural and muscular stress in key junctions of the horse’s body. And it is this accumulated stress that affects mobility, comfort, attitude, training and performance.

This non-invasive, therapeutic technique works with the central nervous system to detect and correct restrictions and pain in the poll, neck/ shoulders, and sacroiliac junction. Through this ‘touch/response’ approach your horse guides me to the areas where pain or restriction is located, enabling me to work the joint or limb through its’ full range of motion in a relaxed state. Your horses’ responses tell me where to work, how long to work the area and, ultimately, that the restriction is being released.

Releasing the restriction enables the return of structural and muscular balance which positively impacts the overall health and performance of your horse.

For optimum performance and general wellness in your horse equine bodywork should always accompany regular veterinary care, balanced nutrition, training, properly fitted equipment and regular dental and hoof care visits from a qualified practitioner.

BODYWORK Our equine athletes work hard for us.
And just like human athletes, the harder they work, the greater the need for bodywork.
